Ding Bat Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup butter (or margarine)
- 8 oz pkg pitted dates, finely chopped
- ½ – ¾ cup water (more if needed)
- 2 cups Rice Krispies
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- powdered sugar
In saucepan, cook sugar, butter, dates and water at low heat until thick. Keep stirring to avoid mixture burning. Take off heat and stir very gently until dates are melted. Add 2 cups of Rice Krispies and 1 cup nuts. While still warm, shape into balls the size of walnut shells, and then roll in powdered sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350’ for 8-10 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
