JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Camera Operator DEPARTMENT NAME: TV Production
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part Time
PRIMARY FUNCTION AND RELATIONSHIP TO TOTAL ORGANIZATION:
Provide technical support to the television staff, Richard and Lindsay Roberts, and the ministry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setup and operate cameras and equipment for studio and remote productions. Camera positions include handheld, jib, and pedestal. Assist video engineer in cleaning and maintaining facilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a High School diploma and 1 year experience with video production.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Requires good organizational, interpersonal, communications, and strong creative skills. Must be self motivated, able to learn, a team player, able to work under stress, and meet tight deadlines.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Will include but not be limited to: sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, repetitive motion, using equipment requiring manual dexterity (10-key and/or computer), and light lifting up to 25 lbs on occasion. Visual requirements are good near, far, and color vision, and the ability to bring objects into sharp focus. Must be able to hear clearly and distinctly.
HOURS OF WORK & ATTENDANCE:
Normally scheduled work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am – 2:30 pm.
Hours will vary according to programming schedule, special assignments, and deadlines.
Occasional overtime may be required.
