Mission: Nicaragua

Today our medical team held a second day of clinics at Boaco. A crowd of sick people was already waiting for our team, but thanks to some great help from our local contacts, everything was ready to go. The full team was in gear…nine stations manned by doctors, nurses, and translators, plus screening stations to help steer people to the doctors who could best meet their specific need. Our team was set up and seeing patients immediately. For six hours straight, they saw patient after patient, ministering to them spirit, soul, and body…praying with them and encouraging them as they treated their physical needs.
We saw more than 530 people in our two days in Boaco. I’ve already heard some great testimonies from our med team and our spiritual counselors…many salvations, rededications, and other requests for prayer…people receiving encouragement from the Lord…and even some great healing testimonies. I heard stories already of several people who received healing between the time they first saw the doctor and the time they left the clinic…including one woman whose breast lump disappeared, and another woman who suddenly found herself free of abdominal pain. I love hearing news like that! Our God is so faithful to meet people where they’re at.
Also, Jordan visited with the medical team and some of the people there, including one 18-year-old girl who especially touched her heart. Jordan was so excited to be there…and of course, she’s looking forward to doing more food outreaches in Managua throughout the week.
Tonight, we also held our healing rally for Boaco. Thousands of people came to the town’s outdoor stadium….literally packed in and crowding all the way to the platform…hungry for God and His miracle power. The mayor said he’s never had that many people in the stadium before. It was amazing. And God showed up big time! Large numbers of people responded to the call to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. And we saw many miraculous healings. Two people came out of their wheelchairs…a three-year-old girl with foot problems was walking normally…backs were healed…I’ll share more details with you when I get back.
All I can say is, I can’t wait to see what the next few days bring. God is visiting Nicaragua and pouring out His power and love. I’m so glad to be a witness to His work here!
