It’s Time to Break the Cycle!
Dear Partner,
Right now there is a stirring in my spirit… The more I pray about what the Holy Spirit is impressing upon my heart and mind, the more I realize I am to share it with you. In fact, I feel so strongly about what is flowing from me and into what I’m writing to you, that I’m going to ask you to stop whatever it is you’re doing, turn off all the normal distractions and spend a few minutes with me through this letter. Please don’t be tempted to “skim” over it looking for the power points…
Several weeks ago, I wrote a letter to the partners and friends of this ministry. I wrote and mailed the letter as a faithful steward of the leading of the Holy Spirit. In that letter, I felt impressed to share a powerful truth–a truth that is now resonating in the spirits of believerseverywhere I travel, “THERE ARE NO NEW DEMONS.” The devil has NO CREATIVE POWER! The same demons he used against you in the past are the same ones he is recycling in an attempt to use against you now.
As I have shared in my previous letter, I believe there are four spirits which are assigned against you over and over and over again:
The first spirit I want you to recognize is the spirit of Elam whose name implies, “binding up.” This spirit will do everything within its power to keep you bound up, as if in a straight jacket, in an attempt to keep you from breaking free from ungodly habits and lifestyles. Do not take
this lightly. Your life, or the life of someone very close to you, may depend on it.
The second spirit, the spirit of Tidal, is assigned to make you afraid. It is the spirit of FEAR! You’ve seen it before… In fact, you’ve seen it defeated only to slip back in at the worst time possible. This is the demon spirit which causes a person to shrink up on the inside and feel
unworthy, unappreciated and scared to make a change. And while the world is looking for a quick fix to remedy the symptoms, I want you to know there is a better way.
The third spirit, the spirit of Shinar is dispatched to try and keep people in the dark. This spirit will tell you over and over and over again that there is no way out of your circumstances. Maybe you’ve heard one of its favorite lines, “There is no way to save that retirement nest egg that built up as a result of a booming market.” This is the spirit that has a heyday during tough economic times… Laughing as homes, cars, savings, and earthly possessions are lost to the highest bidder. This is the spirit which will do everything within its power to get you to listen to rumors
instead of the truth.
The fourth spirit, the spirit of Ellasar, is the “LION-LIKE” roaring of the devil. This is the spirit of confusion that roars in your head… The same spirit which confuses you so much that you can’t clearly hear the voice of the Lord. 1 Peter 5:8 reads, “… your adversary the devil, as aroaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” This spirit will do everything within its power to keep you from obeying God. However, I want you to know, beyond a shadow of a
doubt, Satan is NOT A LION; he’s only “lion-like.” And Jesus defeated him at Calvary!
As I have been faithful to the leading of the Holy Spirit to preach this message from church platforms to television audiences, where I’ve been invited to appear, He has impressed upon me just how easily it is for EVERY BELIEVER to go BEYOND RECOVERY from the attacks
into God’s VICTORY over the enemy.
Partner, it’s time to BREAK THE CYCLE. God did it! NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN! When God looked at the cycle of redemption He established for man, He saw a plan that man had polluted. He saw man moving from sin to the blood sacrifice and then back into sin, only to
come the next year to have the High Priest offer yet another blood sacrifice… an endless cycle that seems to be getting nowhere.
The solution, AN ETERNAL SACRIFICE…. A sacrifice so meaningful and so powerful that NO ENEMY, from ANY WORLD, could overshadow it, erase it, or even penetrate its protection… A sacrifice so powerful that it would BREAK THE CYCLE of sickness on the people… a sacrifice
powerful enough to break the cycle of fear… abuse… doubt… broken promises… debt… conflict… oppression… anger… failure… pain…
God saw the CYCLE-BREAKING solution to emotional bondage… addictions… apathy… compulsive eating… forbidden memories… traditions… denial… risky behavior… worry… violence… poverty… and unhealthy relationships. And it was all wrapped up in His son Jesus.
During this month of April–Easter month–we are celebrating that CYCLE-BREAKING sacrifice. The sacrifice which allows us to move beyond the annual atonement for sins to the ETERNAL VICTORY that is ours through Christ Jesus and what He accomplished at Calvary.
JESUS BROKE THE CYCLE of sin and destruction when He took the blackness of hell to the cross and defeated it for you and for me. This is shouting ground… Praise God for His plan and praise the Lord for His willingness to BREAK THE CYCLE that sin held over man-
kind and providing for you and me a life in which we have the POWER to overcome EVERY ATTACK of the enemy. When Jesus spoke the words, “It is finished,” the work He had come to do was completed. He had broken the cycle for every man, woman and child who were to come after that moment in time, and that means He broke the sin cycle for YOU and for me. All that remained, was the validation.
JESUS VALIDATED THE VICTORY OVER SIN, death, and hell when He walked out of that tomb on the third day. At the instant his life rejoined his physical body in the tomb, He validated our move from recovery to VICTORY! When Jesus stepped through the door of that
tomb, He left defeat for every believer behind Him…
To help illustrate this message I was led to write to you, I have enclosed a symbol of the cycle the enemy is using against every believer just as he has used against man since the beginning of time. I’m sending this symbol as an example of just how easy it is for any believer to break the cycle of defeat once the decision is made to move from recovery to victory.
NOW, I challenge you to do something in the natural that I believe will release a powerful principle in the HERE and NOW… Right there where you are reading this letter, I want you to hold the “cycle” in your hand as you read the following out loud:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your faithfulness to keep calling me back to your Word. I thank you for the cycle-breaking sacrifice your Son Jesus made for me on Calvary. I realize that because of that sacrifice, Jesus gave me the power–through Him–to break any cycle the enemy tries to use against me. As I physically break the symbol I hold in my hand, I praise you, Father, for giving me resurrection power to move from recovery into VICTORY, in Jesus’ name. NOW I declare by faith that I live and walk in VICTORY!
Now that you have prayed this prayer and have broken, by faith, the “cycle” the enemy has tried to use against you, I challenge you to see yourself as God sees you… See yourself walking in His victory… See yourself walking in His freedom from condemnation… “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery”–Galatians 5:1. These inspired words indicate that the choice of how you handle the “cycle” of junk the enemy tries to use against you is up to you. You have been given the power to
break the cycle. And once broken, you have the power to call on God Himself on your behalf. I believe this is the right place to drive down another power stake… YOU HAVE THE POWER BY THE WORDS OF YOUR TESTIMONY! The Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” ( Proverbs 18:21).
Simply stated, this power is YOURS. It has been given to you by the God of the universe. It is not to be toyed with… It is to be taken very seriously… When by faith, you prayed the “cycle-breaking” prayer above, the words which came from your mouth sent a shock wave that literally split the darkness of the enemy’s planned attacks against you.
And while we’re right here together, I challenge you to allow the words as recorded in Romans 8:38-39 to take on a fresh new meaning… For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I pray you are taking the liberty of allowing yourself to see the power over sin and circumstances God has placed within your stewardship as a blood-bought believer.
THIS IS YOUR TIME TO ACT… Look up. No, really, look up. Get your eyes off the ground and see what is around you… Don’t just see the “natural” surroundings, see the cycle-breaking witness of your words producing freedom in Christ… See yourself breaking through every barrier the
devil has tried to use to manipulate your thinking… See yourself as GOD sees you!
THIS IS YOUR TIME TO MOVE AHEAD IN AUTHORITY… As you complete the enclosed Breaking the Cycle Reply, I challenge you to check those areas in which the enemy has been bombarding you. If there are other areas in which the enemy keeps attacking you, use the space provided to share them with me. This is very important because as you get specific with
God, He gets specific with you.
THIS IS THE TIME TO MOVE FROM RECOVERY INTO VICTORY… After you have completed the prayer sheet portion of your reply, I want you to do something you may not have done for a long time. I want you to sow a “cycle-breaking” seed for a “cycle-breaking” harvest. This is where you get serious with your faith in God’s ability to respond to your faith. If you have grown comfortable with a certain size seed gift, then by God’s very law of the harvest,
you have become comfortable with a certain size harvest. Have you allowed yourself to fall into a comfort zone that is below what God really has for you?
THIS IS THE TIME to break the cycleof just getting by and move into God’s MORE THAN ENOUGH ABUNDANCE.
WHEN YOU RETURN your “Cycle-Breaking” prayer sheet, I’m going to personally stand with you, through the power of agreement, for the “Cycle-Breaking” Victory I believe God has for every area you have checked or written about. Now look at the “black half” of your broken “cycle” symbol. I want you to send it to me as quickly as you can get it in the mail… I’m going to place it with those I receive from ministry partners all over the world, and we’re going to have an old-fashioned bonfire. I pray the flames from that fire will send a message around the world… We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood who understands the power that is ours as blood-bought children of the most High God… We are CYCLE-BREAKING BELIEVERS who understand our position in Christ and by whose authority we live and breathe and have our very being.
THE CHOICE IS YOURS… I have done my best as a faithful steward to share that which God has placed in my spirit. I pray you will allow these truths to take root in your spirit as you respond in true “cycle-breaking” faith. I look forward to hearing from you… I look forward to standing with you as together we witness the miraculous “Cycle-Breaking” hand of God at work in your life and as you move into the VICTORY HE HAS for YOU!
